New Year, New You

New year, fresh start!

Every year we start with new resolutions and goals. How about creating a less stressful life for yourself? In our daily lives, we face so many stressors, but did you know that organizing yourself before your home can help you feel less stressed?

As a professional organizer, let me give you a few tips on how to become more organized and less stressed.

A helpful way to start is by establishing a routine. Routines can help you stay on task and know what comes next. Having a plan for the day or a routine to continue your day without getting sidetracked.

Creating a to-do list allows you to accomplish your daily goals. To start, set one goal for the day to avoid overwhelming yourself. Over time, you can add more goals to the day. If you don't finish your to-do list, this is just a reminder to set fewer goals for the day.

Avoid multitasking. Many of us get distracted often. By focusing on one task, you will have the time and focus to finish it.

Keeping spaces clear can help us have a clear mind and not be clouded by all the clutter around us. Workspaces like desks should be free of clutter. An organized desk will help you find what you need and be less distracted.

Keeping ourselves organized helps us create a positive atmosphere and start the year off right. It's an excellent way to set yourself up for success and make the most of the upcoming year.
